While Tuesday’s presentation of Against All Odds and a followup panel/public discussion of racial issues drew a healthy Twin Cities audience, here’s a replay of the panel discussion featuring comments on modern black challenges and opportunities featuring moderator and retired State Farmer Art Taylor, retired Unit 5 educator Camille Taylor, Bloomington-Normal NAACP President Quincy Cummings, and ISU political science specialist Ky Ajayi. Subjects ranged from racial assumptions in the public school and corporate environments to academic representation by minorities, institutional racism still evidenced in the housing market, white struggle to overcome engrained racist beliefs, and the long road ahead to achieving true racial equality and justice.
