MCIA's 36th Annual Banquet Saturday

November 19, 2015

The McLean County India Association's 36th Annual Banquet is set for 6 p.m. Saturday at the Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts.

Ticket prices are for members, adults $15 and kids $8 (5-17 years); and non-members, adults $20, kids $12.

Formal Western or Indian attire is expected.

"The banquet is MCIA's grand and formal event," the association announced. "Look forward to an evening of foot-tapping Bollywood music, dance and delicious three-course dinner."

The menu includes:

Appetizers:
Gobi Manchurian
Samosa with Corriander chutney...

Main Course:
Butter Naan with Paneer masala and Aloo Gobhi
Vegetable Dum Biryani with Raita
Idli with Chutney and Sambar
Curd rice

Dessert:
Gulab Jamoon
Fruit Salad

Also featured will be an open dance floor with DJ Nilesh, a Desi jockey from Chicago.
